With a powerful multi-core processor and graphics chip, plenty of RAM and a Full HD display, the F11S1E is an ideal image and video processing workstation

Sony Vaio F series (VPC-F11S1E/B

The Sony Vaio F11S1E is a large but sleek laptop with a powerful Intel Core i7 processor, an Nvidia GeForce GT 330M graphics chip and 6GB of RAM, which powered it to an overall score of 101 in our benchmarks. This makes it as powerful as many desktop PCs, and with its 16.4in, full HD resolution display, it’s well suited for video and photo editing.

The F11S1E’s design isn’t as flashy as some Sony laptops, but it still has the trademark Vaio touches, such as the power button built into the tubular hinge and the large, silver “VAIO” logo inlaid on the lid. The case feels solidly built, with a firm keyboard panel, and you can open and close the lid while holding it by the corner without the screen flexing.

The keyboard takes up the entire width of the case and includes a numberpad. It uses separated keys that feel a bit stiff at first, but even with their short travel there’s a definite bite in the action that provides good feedback for touch-typists. The layout is standard, with a double-height Enter key, and the numberpad has four columns of keys, with page navigation keys in a row above.

Below the keyboard is a raised wrist rest with a textured finish. The touchpad is large and responsive, and the two separate buttons have a light action. Above the keyboard are shortcut keys that launch Sony’s media and support software, as well as dedicated media playback buttons and a button to turn the display on or off. There are also two speakers, and these were surprisingly loud and clear, although they struggled with heavy bass sounds.

There’s a matt finish on the display to reduce reflections, and we found vertical viewing angles more forgiving than on most laptops. Image quality is superb: despite the matt finish, colours are natural yet vibrant, and contrast is sharp. It’s worth noting that some image quality controls, such as brightness and colour, are adjusted automatically by default, and you’ll need to go into Sony’s Vaio Control Center software to change this.

The F11S1E’s performance is largely due to its Core i7 processor. The four cores (doubled to eight threads by Hyper-Threading) easily coped with the multi-tasking and video-encoding tests; while in our single-threaded image-editing test, Turbo Boost kicked in to raise the clock speed of the single core running the test, resulting in a fantastic score of 119.

A score of just under 30fps in our Call of Duty 4 benchmarks means that the F11S1E will cope with most modern 3D games at lower detail settings. Although coupled with the large display and powerful processor, it’s more likely to impress by speeding up GPU-accelerated applications such as Adobe Photoshop CS5. With technologies such as DirectX 11 with DirectCompute, and Adobe’s Flash 10.1, able to use the graphics processor to speed up graphics applications, the F11S1E is ideal for multimedia tasks.

If you want to go the whole hog and record your own HD films on Blu-ray, you could opt for the more expensive F11Z model with its Blu-ray writer, but the F11S1E will be sufficient for most. If you’re more interested in watching than editing films, Sony’s Vaio EC1S1E is cheaper and has a faster graphics card more suited to gaming. Still, the F11S1E is a great portable image and video editing workstation, and so wins our Best Buy award.

ltrasonography is an important adjuvant for the clinical assessment of a variety of ocular and orbital diseases. With proper use, one can gather a vast amount of information not possible with physical exam alone.

Ultrasound is most useful when intraocular are difficult or impossible to examine. Situations that prevent normal examination include lid problems (severe edema, partial or total tarsorrhaphy), keratoprosthesis, corneal opacities, hyphema, hypopyon, miosis, pupillary membranes, dense cataracts, or vitreous opacities (hemorrhage, inflammatory debris).

Diagnostic B-scan ultrasound accurately images intraocular structures and give valuable information on the status of the lens, vitreous, retina, choroid, and sclera. Ultrasound is also used for diagnostic purposes when pathology is clinically visible, such as differentiating iris or ciliary body lesions; ruling out ciliary body detachments; differentiating intraocular tumors, serous versus hemorrhagic choroidal detachments, rhegmatogenous versus exudative retinal detachments, and disc drusen versus papilledema; or determining functioning versus nonfunctioning glaucoma tube shunts.

Drive the Audi S6 and S6 Avant consume the 309 kW (420 hp) version of the novel 4.0 TFSI. The twin-turbo V8 provides a constant 550 Nm (405.66 lb-ft) of torque from 1,400 towards 5,300 rpm

It accelerates the S6 from 0 towards hundred km/h (62.14 mph) within 4.8 seconds and the S6 Avant within 4.9 seconds. With both theories, the electronically governed top hurry of 250 km/h (155.34 mph) is just a formality.

The 4.0 TFSI brings Audi’s downsizing strategy towards the high-performance class. Compared towards the engine within the previous theory, the free-breathing, 5.2-liter V10, it bids even sportier operation whilst diminishing gasoline consumption via as much as 25 percent. Average gasoline consumption is just 9.7 liters per hundred km (24.25 US mpg) within the Audi S6 and 9.8 liters (24.0 US mpg) within the Audi S6 Avant, well beneath that of the competition.

A number of technologies contribute towards this top outcome, incorporating the recuperation and start-stop systems as well as the novel “cylinder onto demand” cylinder management system. When the V8 deactivates four cylinders below portion burden, the Active Noise Cancellation system (ANC) is activated. Four mikes integrated into the headlining file the noise within the cabin, which is otherwise analyzed via a computer. If the computer diagnoses intrusive tone components, it broadcasts an antiphase tone across the speakers of the tone system. This tone combines with the intrusive tone and largely cancels it out.

Samsung has developed yet another Galaxy S II variant for a particular carrier. This time, Japanese carrier KDDI has landed a version that includes a WiMAX radio. However, unlike the 4.5-inch display toting Sprint Epic 4G WiMAX variant, the KDDI version comes with a 4.7-inch Super AMOLED HD display with a 1280×720 resolution

Also upgraded is the processor of the device. Instead of a 1.2GHz processor on the Sprint Epic 4G, the KDDI Galaxy S II carries a 1.4GHz chip making it very similar to the Galaxy S II HD LTE, expect of course for the WiMAX radio.

It also carries an 8-megapixel camera on the rear of the device and 2-megapixel camera on the front. It offers 1080p video recording, Bluetooth 3.0, microSD, NFC and 16GB of internal memory. The new Galaxy S II variant, however, will continue to ship with the now outdated Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) OS

                                 iPad 3 Quad-Core CPU

iPad 3 Release Date and Features, Is it appropriate if we dubbed Apple as the king of gadget in US?, as the iPad is grabbing not less than 80%
from the entire market share of US tablet market. This phenomenon is not only clouding the white red and blue states, but also in numerous countries that the people is gone crazy tapping their fingertips since the coming of iPod touch in their countries

You’ve just got to love the timing. First, Apple announces their education-focused media event smack dab in the middle of CES. Now, just as CES is winding down, Bloomberg has “three people familiar with the product” spilling purported details on the next iPad. Whether or not Apple won CES without even being there, they’re certainly trying.

None of the leaked details are particularly new, but that it comes from Bloomberg and they’ve seemingly got full confidence in their source(s) makes them a bit more credible than rumors prior.
